Plum Hollow Piranhas

I began my coaching career in 2012 working in the NSSL summer swim league in which I have coached until this summer. Additionally, I have coached the Farmington and Harrison high school swim programs since 2012 as well. My philosophy is to promote a team environment as well as understanding the goals of the athletes in order to work collectively towards an objective. If I am not at the pool, I am likely drinking coffee while daydreaming of hiking.

I am a high school math teacher in St. Clair Shores by day and a crazy swim coach by night. I have been coaching swim since 2003 as an assistant coach and have coached for 7 different programs. In 2008, I became the head coach of the Royal Oak Girls Team and have won 7 championships. From 2017 to 2021 I coached the boys at St Clair Shores Lakeview, winning 5 championships. I am excited for year six at PHCC and to continue to create a great program here at Plum!

I have been swimming competitively since I was about 8 years old. I graduated from Grand Valley in 2023, where I swam and was a captain for the varsity swim and dive team. Since graduating, I have been working at Beaumont in Royal Oak as a Registered Nurse in the Emergecy Department. Swimming has had a huge impact on my life and I love being able to pass that on to the next generation. I’m very excited for another season at PHCC and I can't wait to see what we accomplish!

I am a rising junior at Vassar College. This is my second summer coaching at Plum Hollow and I am very excited to be back again this season. I have been swimming since I was 5 years old for Oakland Hills, Motor City Aquatics, Marian High School, and currently Vassar College Swim and Dive. I have done swim lessons in the past and have helped out younger swimmers with their technique. I can’t wait for another amazing summer with PHCC!
